Credit Suisse Report

Once again we have posted the Credit Suisse Survey for February.  Nationwide we the report is showing a small trend.  Here are the highlights.

  • Buyer Traffic is Up in February
  • Buyer Traffic Levels Ahead of Agents Expectations
  • Pricing looks Stable in February
  • Reduced time needed to sell homes

In key California Markets we are seeing changes with some mixed results.

  • Los Angeles – Buyer traffic is holding and prices are falling
  • Riverside – Buyer traffic is down and prices are falling
  • Sacramento – Buyer traffic is up and prices are holding
  • San Diego – Buyer traffic is up and prices are holding
  • San Francisco – Buyer traffic is up and prices are up

We see that buyer traffic is up in four of the five major markets.  Prices are holding or increasing in three markets and falling in two.  Here are some comments from agents:

  • Buyers are more optimistic – San Francisco
  • Low Interest rates are motivating buyers – San Diego

Please take some time to review the entire report.  We will follow up with a market information specific to the San Luis Obispo market in our next report.

As always, your questions and comments are welcome
